... V steklenih krožnikih Mateja Metlikoviča je utelešena simbolika gostoljubja, dobrote in blagostanja. V prosojnih odtenkih stekla se udejanjajo barve sonca in neba. Nebo, kraljestvo ptic, postane svetleč oder za njihov ples ... Steklene umetnine so ravno prav velike, da jih podržimo v dlaneh, ujamemo svetlobo skozi prosojne barve ter jih napolnimo s svojimi zgodbami sreče. Radostno barvito, a krhko steklo ter dinamične in spremenljive silhuete zarisanih ptic nas opominjajo na dragocenost življenja in vrednost trenutka – danes, tukaj in zdaj.
